When it comes to eternal Salvation, one cannot straddle the fence. Either one embraces the laws of their particular religion or embraces Jesus and the free gift of Salvation through him. Just adhering to any particular religion doesn't get one a free pass into heaven.
God used the Jews as examples to the rest of us, not to set our hearts on evil things.
1 Corinthians 10:
5. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

The Jews also rejected Jesus and turned Him over to the Romans to be crucified, and they still reject Him to this day.
NO! not Satanic, that is the religion of the Moslem's.
but most Jews are making the mistake of non practice and non acceptance of Jesus as their true Savior.
I don't like his language but religion is Satan's ace trump while Christianity is a relationship with Jesus Christ who paid for the sins of the entire human race.
