Is it legal for cops to punch suspects in the face?

Some people deserve to be punched in the face. Punching the offender in the face wouldn't be necessary if the offender didn't give the officer crap and resist.
Was the gunman also black???? Must be. If the shooter was any other race, their picture would be plastered all over the news 24/7.
Blacks better start dealing with their own kind. If white people take any kind of action, the are sued.
